I am an academic, and a practicing designer, teacher, and maker.
I work in Australia, Canada, and India.
My research interests focus on

1. design and discourse around the body and health intervention, 
2. cultural objects, and craft traditions
3. eco-human design frameworks, and design 'spiriting'
4. design philosophies of traditional and contemporary aesthetics
5. pedagogies of practice and design
6. a complementary professional book design and illustration practice

My research on the ‘body as site’ interrogates the intersection of design with social constructs, alongside traditional, experiential, and metaphorical ways of knowing the body.
I frame ‘the Aesthetic Imperative’ as a critical function of practice and pedagogy.
I am deeply invested in the classical arts and craft traditions of India that inform and predicate approaches diverse approaches to practice.
